Since my sister isn't nearly as attentive to the world wide web as her husband, I took it upon myself to take many pictures of Queen Stella today. She was an absolute doll baby. So good, that I spent most of the night trying to convince Jeff that maybe we should "have just one more." To that he responds, "neither of our girls was that good, and you know it!" He's right. I must admit - when Queen Poopy Pants did her business that afternoon, it was quite nice to pass her onto Ginger. Your baby, your poop. Huh. I like this aunt thing, lots! I can't wait until the next time I can hold her and kiss her, and that feeling is quadrupled by my girls. Ginger just needs to give us the green light, and we'll be there. See you soon Queen Stella!

Kiddie St. Patrick's Day Party (Belated..)
Another year of our Kiddie St. Patrick Day Party, complete with sugar cookie Shamrocks and green Kool Aid (the real stuff...with LOTS of sugar)! We made green projects, ate corn beef, sauerkraut and rye bread and washed it all down with key lime pie! Not to mention a Guinness or two. It is so fun for my kids to celebrate my most favorite holiday with me. Carlie only asked 164 times what time people were coming over for the party. I love it! I can't wait until next year, maybe baby Stella will want to join in on the fun!! Notice Lucy's PURPLE dress...two sizes too big, and a bit out of place with all the green don't you think? Well, that was her third outfit of the party. First was an adorable Irish T-shirt with khaki capri's (mommy approved), then came the ND cheerleading outfit (okay, not green, but Irish in any event) and then some time when I wasn't looking the dress got put on (obviously, NOT mommy approved). Note to self - next year - pictures before the party gets going!

My Boyfriend's Back
Lucy received her "jazz costume" today. They are dancing to My Boyfriend's Back with lots of "boogie woogies" and "scoop, shuffles." Lucy was very excited because she got one of the pink sequin skirts. The other color was blue - which was equally cute, but pink is a premium in our house! Her tap costume is a ridiculous Shirley Temple polka dot dress. Over the top, but the girls just love it. Tell me, how again did I get the girls and Lacey the boys? Oh - that's right, God has a sense of humor.

God's Picture After The Rain
Today we had a brief storm pass through New Haven. Times like those, I am thankful for our basement. The girls are easily distracted by some cartoons and we are all safe. The storm did not last long, and afterwards gave us a "picture in the sky" as Lucy put it at prayer time. Rainbows really are beautiful, and no matter how old I get I get the same excitement each time. It's a gentle reminder of who holds the world in his hands, isn't it?

Disney On Ice
Lucy's BFF - Delaney
Introducing....Delaney. Lucy took a liking to Delaney the first day of preschool. I have a strong inkling it had something to do with her gorgeous long hair. An added bonus is that Delaney is in Lucy's Wednesday morning dance class as well. This week I invited Delaney and her mother to McDonald's for a little lunch date after dance, and Lucy and Delaney were just too funny. I am still having a hard time of wrapping my mind around the idea of Lucy having a friend, separate and individual than Jeff or I. But it's happening. My babies are growing up, and I can't do anything to stop it.
