Well, as you all are painfully aware, today was Carlie's first day of school. She was bouncing off the walls this morning. She "gave a little talk" to Lucy about having a good day without her, and promised her she'd be home this afternoon. One of the above pictures was her first day of preschool three years ago....my how she has grown. Still in dresses, please note. She found her seat, and school box and was off an playing with the kids by the time Jeff and I (holding back tears by this time) start heading towards the door. By the parking lot, I was happy for sunglasses, as I stopped holding back the tears. Although I am ready for Carlie to be in school, I miss her dearly as I sit here and type this. Lucy has informed me that we will have fun today..."you know, mom, we'll eat Popsicles and relax on the couch..." I think she will miss Carlie just as much as I do. Lucy will be starting preschool the first Tuesday after Labor Day. I already gearing up for more tears. Tell me, when did I get so emotional??

Oh my goodness...I can't hardly take it! She looks so happy and excited though. It's going to be a LONG day for you though! Caden started his new pre-school this morning and I did NOT have a good feeling about it at all. I actually cried when I dropped him off too. I will email you & mom the whole story later...
OH my!! both of my girls were crying when I talked them!! Of course, you two made ME cry!! I think we got emotional when we gave birth!!!
I so remember the day you went to school. I couldn't wait till the car pool brought you home to me!!!
Me and Lacey were waiting on the steps of the little house, you hopped out of the car and talked non-stop about how much fun you had. Carlie, will be the same.
I may look for some pictures of YOU on your first day!!!
Just soooo cute!!!
I get teary eyed just looking at the pictures! She looks so excited but I can only imagine what you are feeling. Time just goes way too fast. I can't wait to hear about her first day. I bet she couldn't stop talking about it!
Those emotions came when you gave birth -who woulda thought! As much as you miss her the time when she comes home and you hear the excitement in her voice of all the things she is learning will make up for the time that you miss her. I just married off my little girl on August 2, tell me that's possible! Thanks so much for sharing with me - hope to get to see you soon!
